“From whence have we fallen?” Sounds like great Shakespearian literature jargon doesn’t it? But it is not. That is the question mankind has been asking since the fall of man in the garden of Eden.
If you have been born into and lived a lifestyle of wealth and opulence it’s sometimes hard to identify with the normal average family who lives paycheck to paycheck. It’s hard to know what it is to be poor. A few men and women have over the years set out to understand what it means to be without so that they can truly appreciate what they do have. It’s the same way with God’s grace. We don’t celebrate and live out our salvation because we don’t truly understand “from whence we have fallen?” We have lived in just wealth and opulence of grace we don’t remember what it was or what we were before grace.
The great fall is not just another bible story written to entertain our children at bedtime. It is the reason for the condition of man. To truly understand our fall, we must be open to the Spirit of God revealing to us how great of a fall it was and to trust Him to save us from ourselves.
Lead Pastor Allen Hickman passionately shares where God originally intended for man to be and the extent of the intimate relationship He wanted us to have with him and how far that fall was and what it has done to mankind. However, reconciliation is a big spiritual word for God making it right once again in spite of our mishandling of His commands. We can be restored to the original intended relationship with Him through a relationship with His Son Jesus. He is the great Restorer!
