We make declarations every day. We declare our love for our spouse. We declare our position on a certain topic, be it political or social. We declare our love for… food. Yes, there is not a day goes by that I don’t hear someone talk about how much they love food. How many of our declarations have changed the world? Very few. They may have changed someone’s local world but the world as a whole very few have made that kind of impact. There are four major declarations that have impacted and changed the world, Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, and the Emancipation Proclamation. There is one declaration that not only changed this world but the spirit world as well. When Jesus declared, “It is finished” while on the Cross the whole of mankind and the spirit world was altered forever.
