God gave mankind dominion over all living things at the beginning.  Satan deceived and tricked Adam and Eve into giving that dominion over to him.  He has been dominating creation ever since then.  Man, animals, and nature itself has been under the demonic thumb of Satan.  But, Jesus shows up on the scene and through His birth, life, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection regained dominion and gave it back to man.  We as followers of Jesus must now rise up and go beyond just being delivered to living in our rightful divine dominion.
