Jesus Christ coming to earth to redeem mankind and bring the hope that had left us at the incident in the garden is what Christmas is all about. It's not about reindeer, Santa, snow and the like. Nothing wrong with those things but there are truly a distraction from the truth of Christmas. And yes there was gift giving at the first Christmas. Unfortunately the America advertising monster has made Christmas into a commercial holiday and not about giving gifts from the heart. Jesus came as a gift and to give gifts to us. Over the next three weeks Pastor Allen will talk about what those gifts are.
