God is a giver. It is His nature to give. And as followers of Jesus we should be givers as well. God gave His eternal peace to us when He sent His son Jesus to come and be born in humble circumstances and to ultimately die to rescue mankind. Jesus was born in humble circumstances to say the least. However, He was born or how He died, He is returning as King. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. No one is above Him. All things are at His feet. The fourth gift God gave us was Jesus as our King!.

Jesus was born in humble circumstances to say the least. However, He was born or how He died, He is returning as King. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. No one is above Him. Jesus was born to die to live again so we could live to die and be born again. All that gives us a peace, that the world envies and desperately needs. "Peace and goodwill to all mankind" was the announcement that the angels herald on that beautiful, fateful night that no one but Heaven truly knew what it meant. But today we do and that peace we celebrate and live in to the glory of Jesus who gives that glory to the Father God.

Jesus wanted to come to us so that God Himself could be with us that is why Jesus is call Immanuel, which actually means God is with us. The second gift God gives to us is His presence through the indwelling Holy Spirit. The power of God lives in us and gives us the strength to be the men, women, young people and children He has called us to be.

We live in a world of tension to say the least. However, haven't we been living in a world of tension since the beginning of time? Yes, good and evil. Cain and Able. Roman and the rest of the world. Old ways versus new technology. You get the picture. Today is no different. But it is for followers of Jesus Christ. We live with hope in the midst of tension. Actually we can live with joy, peace, love, and patience in a world that has lost it's mind. We can bring all that and more to the world around us as we submit our lives to the only one who can empower us to live above it all, Jesus.
