Jesus Christ coming to earth to redeem mankind and bring the hope that had left us at the incident in the garden is what Christmas is all about. It's not about reindeer, Santa, snow and the like. Nothing wrong with those things but there are truly a distraction from the truth of Christmas. And yes there was gift giving at the first Christmas. One of the gifts Jesus gave, and one of the most important ones, was the gift of the Holy Spirit. He sent Him to empower us to be the men and women He has called us to be. Without Him, the Holy Spirit, we can't live this Christian life with power and impact.

Unfortunately the America advertising monster has made Christmas into a commercial holiday and not about giving gifts from the heart. Jesus came as a gift and to give gifts to us. Over the next three weeks Pastor Allen will talk about what those gifts are.

"We are living in stressful and unprecedented times." We have heard that said over the past two years hundreds, if not, thousands of times. However, stressful times have been around ever since there has been more than one human on earth. After Adam and Eve fell the enemy began an intentional and diabolical plan to affect, effect and infect their minds. Mental health has become more and more an issue in our world but also an issue in the Church of Jesus Christ. "These things ought not be." So how do you have a healthy mental state of being? Over the next several weeks Pastor Allen will deal with how we got where we are today and how we are to renew our mind on a regular basis.
