The very first Christmas was just like any other simple night in the middle east, with the exception that Jesus, God's son was born into the world. It wasn't until centuries later that we would start to celebrate it as Christmas. However, that very first "Christmas" wasn't simple at all. It was full of supernatural events. Here on the earth and in the spiritual or supernatural world also. Mary's pregnancy, Jesus' birth, the angels and shepherds, the Majai, the provisions for their trips to Bethlehem and more were all supernatural events. This night would be the beginning of where the divine would intersect with mankind once again leading to an event that would not only change the world but the supernatural world as well.

Remembering in a world of constant change is hard to do. But we must. If we don't we are doomed to repeat the past. We remember for three reasons. We remember His Salvation. Remembering Stirs up Mercy. And remembering produces a specific atmosphere. We remember to honor the past but also to learn from it. The good and bad. God has done so much for us we must never forget all His works, blessings, love, attributes and so much more.

God has given us a life that the world is envious of. However, in order to live that blessed life there are a few things that you have to do. The scripture says that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. It is a holy and reverent fear. Not a deathly morbid fear that the world advocates. Also God commandments are not grievous and difficult. They are always for our protection and provision. He has also given us the power of His Holy Spirit to ensure that we can walk out those commandments. Pastor Allen talks today about the Blessed Life.

The soul is made up of three parts, the mind, will, and emotions. Our mind is the seat of our understanding and comprehension. The scriptures tell us to renew our mind. Renewing is not a one time event but an ongoing one. Our minds do get "dirty". Just like our bodies do and when they do we clean them. We must do the same with our minds. How do we do that. Over the next several weeks Pastor Allen will walk us through the different things that God has set up for us in the scriptures to help us do that and have the mind of Christ in us.
