For far too long the Church in America has been living in the shadows. She has excused her behavior with theological rhetoric and the success of yesterday. However, God has placed with in her one of the most powerful elements in the universe; Light. We, the Church, the called out ones, followers of Jesus Christ, are the light of the world. The world desperately needs the Church to be the light. Light always opens up the path to a future that can only be lived in the LIGHT and not in the shadows.

Covenant is not a word that we use everyday here in America.  However, it is a word that our founding forefathers knew all too well.  They understood the cost of the Covenant they we creating when they penned the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.  The knew it would cost them.  For many it cost them their lives.  Jesus also understood the cost of covenant when He was crucified on a Roman cross.  He knew the day God spoke when He was baptized that the Covenant He had with God for us would cost Him His very life.

Fathers and fatherhood is straight from our father God. However, in our current world and culture fatherhood is under attack. Yet, Jesus said that we don't need to worry because He has overcome the world. We know the importance of fathers and fatherhood so we still move forward and do what God has call us to do and most importantly to be. Men and fathers that shadow the Father God and we live likewise and then when our families are changed the world will be changed.

We need to hear the Word of God.  Not the Bible, not another sermon, or teaching, we need to hear God speak to us.  Our world needs it.  There was a time when the nation of Israel did not hear the word of God often.  The Scripture says that the "Word of God was rare."  
Why do we need to hear His words?  Because His words are life, hope, peaces and all that you will ever need.  His Word are power.  Our words are power also.  We must hear from God in order to speak life to our world.

We can all agree that things are changing faster than what most people can do to keep up. Updates to your smart phone, computer, streaming service, you name it happens once a week or two. Fashion changes daily. Design is constantly changing along with people's belief system. We as followers of Jesus are to remain steadfast and secure in who He is and what He has promised. In an ever changing world we can know that God is immovable and consistent no matter the circumstances.
