Our world is chaotic at best and crazy at the worst. However, God sent John the Baptist to announce to the world that there was one coming that would change the world and that person was Jesus Christ. He came to be a gift to the world and as His followers that is exactly what we are to be to the world. We are a gift to the world around us. We should bring hope, peace, joy and love to those that we influence and have relationship with.

As followers and lovers of Jesus Christ He has promised us an abundant and good life even in the midst of tribulation and trouble. We also need to understand that fear is alive and well and is willing and able to steal that life from us if we allow him to. Christians, not nominal, go to Sunday service to appease God Christians, who are full of the Holy Spirit will bring life to an other wise lifeless world as we live out our faith everyday. When we do we will bring hope to a desperate and needy world.

It's time for the church to be the church and stand and speak God's word to a generation and world that is in desperate need. That word is like a fire shut up in our bones. We should be so on fire that we as the church are looking for and building relationships with others so that we can, in the context of a loving relationship, share that life changing word. Today we have friend and special guest speak Bishop Bart Pierce to share that word that is a fire shut up in his bones.

Water Baptism is not just a tradition of the Church. It is so much more than that. Water Baptism is a powerful expression of gratitude and appreciation to the one who has saved us, set us free, and empowered us with His Holy Spirit to live for and with Him. There is a spiritual power that is manifested in the physical when people follow through in water baptism. Is there power in the act? No. Is there power in the obedience? Yes, because you are submitting yourself to the Lordship of Christ who then pours out the power of His Spirit on you enabling you to walk, live, breath, and move in, through and with Him.

Life in 2020 has been challenging to say the least. We started off 2020 with a goal of running our race with power, peace, and potential but then everything began to unravel. How do we continue to grow in our walk as we face each day? Why is it so important that we do? There's a battle going on between spirit and flesh that we must overcome, but we cannot do it alone. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, then our own spirit is directly impacted by Him. We cannot help but become more like Him, living a life guided by and yielded to Him. He is the Helper, who helps us to walk forward.
