We are at war but it's a spiritual war. We have been in this war since the fall of man. However, the war has already been won. Our job is to simply live in the victory that has been won. However, our enemy is sly and cunning constantly trying to deceive us into believing that we can't live in victory. But greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We will see the victory.

We, as salt, should bring out the best in people and we, as the light, should shine in such a way that people see God for who He really is. But what happens when we are not the salt and light?

We were not created to live alone. God said it is not "good for man to be alone." We need each other to help each other grow and become the men and women of God that He has destined for us. But we will never be able to accomplish that without relationship. There is power in relationships.

No matter what you say your response to life's ups and down will reveal what you really value. Do you value what God values? Do you know how much He values mankind? Does it matter to God whether we are broken or not? And does our broken state have anything to do with the depth of His love? These questions are more are dealt with in today's message.
