When the Holy Spirit is active in our life then the fruit of the Spirit that Paul tells us about in Galatians 5 should be evident in our life. It is not something that we have to "conjure" up but comes naturally as we allow the Holy Spirit the freedom to empower us.

For the most part people think that the activity of the Holy Spirit is always something miraculous and out of the ordinary. However, the first work and activity of the Holy Spirit is Love and the second is Humility. These are everyday qualities that can only come through Him. It is through His power that we can humble ourselves and walk and live in humility towards one another.

As followers of Jesus Christ there are a few attributes of God that should always be present in our life. One of them is the activity of the Holy Spirit. He should be moving in us and through us. Our outward appearance has little to do with our spiritual life. It is what the Holy Spirit does in and through us that marks us a true followers of Christ.
