Conflict is all around us. Being a Christian doesn't make us immune to conflict but it does give us a whole different approach to resolving conflict. As long as we are alive we are going to have to deal with conflict. God tells us in His word how to deal with people and conflict in such a way that it bring life to them and us.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we the church must learn to love each other through the power of the Holy Spirit and not compartmentalize our lives. His love and power should permeate every part of our life. Whether we are at work, school, in our community, at church or where ever we are His love and power rules no matter what.
We are family and family, though we do aggravate and get on each other’s nerves every now and then, we love each other. Not because we have to but because we can't help ourselves. His love is in us and that is what compels us to.

Sin is not a synonym for fun. It is the destroyer of humanity. Sin will steal, kill and destroy, according to history and John 10:10. Sin will steal your identity. It will confuse you, make you forget who you are, make you lose your voice, make you justify your bad behavior, and much more. That is why you must "master it" before it consumes you.
That all sounds so dramatic but it is nonetheless true. This is not a game or some action, sci-fi, superhero movie, it is for real. If we are to stand strong in who we are in Christ we are going to have to completely and totally depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to empower us to overcome it and to see it when it raises it's ugly head. We have to know where it comes from, learn how to control our feelings and emotions, take our thoughts captive, run from it and learn how to repent.
Our identity in Christ is at risk every time we walk in willful sin. Not that Christ "looses" us but that we being to forget who we are in Him when we live in sin. Today is a message to help you overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.

What and who tries to steal our identity? Satan and his lies. One of the main things that Satan will try and do is to get us into a position of compromise and get us out from under authority.
We all must be under authority. We will never truly walk in the spiritual authority God has intended for us if we are not under His authority. Positioning ourselves properly in accordance with God's word and what He says about us is paramount to us being the sons and daughter that affect change in our world for His glory.
Satan wants to steal that identity because he knows that there is power in our God given identity and his kingdom will suffer because of us walking in our authority.

Once we know, spirit and soul, who we are, we must stand strong to keep the enemy from stealing out identity. We don't have to be on the defensive but on the offensive, standing on what God's word, the Bible says about us and who our Father God says who we are.
There are a myriad of identity thieves who are incognito and are quietly lurking around waiting for the opportunity to pounce and try to strip away our identity that is secure in our relationship with God through His son Jesus.
The Bible says 2 Corinthians 2:11 in that we “are not ignorant of his (Satan) devices”. We don’t seek to know the enemy as much as we seek to know truth. Today we will look at a few ways our identity is stolen and what we are to do to prevent it.

Do we value what God values? If we are His followers we should. Have you or me ever taken the time to stop living our life so that we could actually find out what He does value? The Bible is very clear from cover to cover that He values people over all else. Why? Because we are created in His image and of all the living creatures He created man was the only one that He breathed His breath of life into. If God values us that much should we not value each as God does? Yes, a thousand times, Yes!

Thoughts of humility and pride cannot exist at the same time in our brains. We have to get rid of one of them. If humility is our thought then pride cannot be in the picture whatsoever. If pride is our thought then humility is non-existent. If we are ever going to truly go where God wants us to go we are going to have to get in the proper position and that position is humility.
God resists the proud but give grace to the humble. The word of God tells us to humble ourselves. We must understand our position in Christ and how we are to position ourselves for Him to speak to us.
