Jesus Christ is not a religious figure, or just a christian icon. He is God come in the flesh. But why did He think it was imperative that He come to earth as a man? Was it because Adam and Eve messed things up so bad that we couldn't fix it? Was it because He wanted revenge on mankind for destroying what He had created. No, no, no! He came so that He could make all things new and that most importantly included us, mankind. If we are in Christ we are a new creation and the old things are gone. He has come to make you new!

When Jesus road into Jerusalem the week before He was crucified the people Hailed Him as King. As Hosanna, one who comes to save. Many religious people told them they should be quiet and they even told Jesus how wrong the people were for singing His praises. Jesus told them if the people don't praise Him the rocks will cry out His praise. May our lips forever have his praise on them. Up from our hearts, over our lips, and to the world around us may we always sing His praise.

Prayer is not some holy, religious, super-spiritual act that only the most devoted and righteous people do.  It is simple communication with God.  It is us conversing and listening to Him and with Him.  It’s more than something we do on “God’s day”.  It is truly our spiritual lifeline.  It is our connection to Him and with Him.  But our prayers should be more than selfish pleas of God meeting our needs and or wish, wants, and whims.  Those are elementary and immature.  Are we praying extravagant prayers?  Prayers that can and will change the world?  Are our prayers altering people’s destiny?  Are they prayers that move Heaven and earth?  It is the fervent prayers of a righteous people that will accomplish much

Love is a powerful force that has and can change the world.  However, bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness are volatile forces that can do much damage to not only those around you but to you.  The story of the good Samaritan is a great illustration of what God can do to and through a person who has "good reason" to be bitter, resentful, and unforgiving but allows the love of God to flow through them to the "unworthy".  Which in actuality we are all unworthy but it is His love that penetrates the hard shell of our past to set us free.
