Life has been, can we say, crazy over the past few months. Everyday brings new information and news that for most people is daunting and alarming. However, we as followers of Jesus Christ have a confidence and hope that keeps us centered and focused. Well, we should at least be that way. But sometimes we aren't full of faith when we should be. Today we want to share how we can be people full of faith, hope and living on the edge of all that God has called us to do and be.

We are all living in a world that is chaotic at best and insane at the worst. Everyday brings new challenges. The news no matter where you consume it doesn't seem to match up with our experiences and what all the other new outlets are saying. We don't know who to believe anymore because it seems as everyone has their own agenda and are willing to sacrifice truth to get what they want. So, what is truth anyway? Who do we believe? Where do we go for a firm foundation? All the established "foundations" of our world seem to have been compromised so what are we to do? We make declarations every day. We declare our love for our spouse. We declare our position on a certain topic, be it political or social. We declare our love for… food. Yes, there is not a day goes by that I don’t hear someone talk about how much they love food. How many of our declarations have changed the world? Very few. They may have changed someone’s local world but the world as a whole very few have made that kind of impact. There are four major declarations that have impacted and changed the world, Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, and the Emancipation Proclamation. There is one declaration that not only changed this world but the spirit world as well. When Jesus declared, “It is finished” while on the Cross the whole of mankind and the spirit world was altered forever.

God is speaking and He speaks in more ways that just one. The big questions are, are you and I willing to hear and are we in a position to hear what He has to say? In the Old Testament the people didn’t hear from God personally unless you were a prophet and then very seldom. However, today with the path that Jesus made through His life, death, and resurrection to God and through the pouring out of the Holy Spirit we can hear God personally and daily. But how do I know it’s God? You might ask. Well, as stated before He speaks in many different ways and we have to be ready, willing and able to hear, we have to tune in to His frequency. Today we will talk about the different ways He speaks.

God speaks. The spirit world is speaking. Who and what you hear is determined by which frequency you are tuned into. Satan speaks loudly and deceitfully. God speaks with a still small voice, cause you to lean in close enough to hear Him. Most of our world is full of noise. You wake up in the morning turn on your TV, radio, check your phone for all the social media, check the newspapers, and tons of apps that have a barrage of digital noise making it hard to hear the voice of God. You have to learn how to turn down the noise and hear the still small voice of a kind and loving Father who longs to speak and listen to you.
