We were never meant to stay spiritual babies.  Babies cannot eat solid food or anything such as meat because they are not mature enough to physically digest.  We as children of God are to grow up and mature in the knowledge, wisdom and our relationship with God but still not lose our child-like faith in Him.

Most Christians equate spiritual maturity to a stoic and staunch way of living.  However, God's Word say something a little different.  The Pharisees, Saducees and Scribes in Jesus' day where men who were considered the "spiritually mature" but Jesus didn't really give much credence to them or their maturity.

His qualifications of maturity differ quite a bit from the religious institution of His day and still do to many of the churches of today that bear His name.  This week's teaching is about going from milk to meat and growing up in Christ.

We are children of God and we are free. Or at least we should be free. Why do so many people that call themselves Jesus followers, Christians, godly people, etc... live in bondage? Maybe it is because they have allowed the work of Jesus Christ to be full manifested in their lives. Maybe it is because they are used to the chains of bondage and have learned how to live with them. The list of why could go on forever.

Jesus said, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. And he who the Son sets free is free indeed". For anybody in bondage, to anything, those words should not only encourage you but excite you to the possibility of being set free from what it is that keeps you from being all Jesus destined you to be.

The law of sin and death were defeated on the Cross and through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. That is why He made those outlandish, bold and to many arrogant statements. But when you overcome death, hell and the grave there is pretty much nothing else that can compete with you. So, yes Jesus came to seek and save the lost and to set ALL the captive free.

We are children of God and we are free. Or at least we should be free. Why do so many people that call themselves Jesus followers, Christians, godly people, etc... live in bondage? Maybe it is because they have allowed the work of Jesus Christ to be full manifested in their lives. Maybe it is because they are used to the chains of bondage and have learned how to live with them. As Children of God we are His sons and daughters that are destined for greatness. Not greatness like the world see it, fame, fortune, power, prestige. All those are self-centered and egotistical thing to chase after. The greatness our Father has for us is so much greater than what we could ever image. We have a purpose for our life.

That is why it is imperative to develop our relationship with our Father God so He can reveal it to us. Although we would like for Him to reveal it all at one time He won’t. It is a progressive revelation. He reveal more as we grow more. God has chosen to use people in this world to change this world. Why? Because God loves people. We are the “apple of His eye” so to speak. He prizes us above all created things.

We are not like animals, or trees, or the earth. We are much more valuable than that. God has done everything that He needs to do to set us up for greatness. Our job is to listen and obey. Yeah, easier said than done. That is why we must depend on and use the power of the Spirit of God living within us to be all He has destined for us to be

As children of God we are more than just sons and daughters. We are priceless sons and daughters. God valued us so much so that He was willing to sacrifice the most precious and priceless thing to Him; His own son, Jesus Christ. You might say, "Yes, Yes, I already know that. I've heard it a thousand times." Yes, you may know that but the questions is, "are you living a life that reflects the same values that God has.

Do we find priceless what He finds priceless?" If we do then our life and lifestyle will reflect that. If you can't see the value God places on you it going to be more difficult for you to give others the value that God gives them.

That is why it is so important and paramount that we have a relationship with our Father God that cultivates the value He places on us. When we do we will love like He loves, speak as He speaks, in essence the world will see God through us. That's a part of who we are!

That is why it is so important and paramount that we have a relationship with our Father God that cultivates the value He places on us. When we do we will love like He loves, speak as He speaks, in essence the world will see God through us. That's a part of who we are!

Finding out who we are all starts with trust in our Father. Our Father God has us on His mind and always wants to get good things to us and through us. Our hearts must be open and receptive to His love and mercy if we are ever going to fully trust Him with our life. Do you believe God is good?

Can you trust Him in the hard times and the times when you don't understand? In order to get to that place we must learn to live by His word. His written word, the Bible and His spoken word, by His Holy Spirit speaking to our spirit. We must stay in constant relationship with Him and as we do we will develop a listening ear and hear His voice with clarity.

Walking in trust is all about walking in faith. God like faith and without it we cannot please Him. Just as we develop a listen ear to hear His voice we also develop a walk of faith, we grow in it. When we walk in faith we put God first in everything, we don't allow fear to rule us, & we are willing to change.

Our heavenly Father loves us and only wants good thing for us. May today you begin walking in His word, in faith and His love.
