As servant kings we are builders. We are commanded and gifted to build people up. We are to edify, encourage, lift up and build up. One of the best ways to build people is to use our words. Not fake and insincere words but words that are from the heart and anointed by God.
When we use them at strategic and intentional times that do more to build up people than we can imagine. One honest, sincere word of encouragement will do a thousand times more than 20 fake or insincere ones.
Servant Kings not only use "their words" to build people up, they also use the words of God that He has left us in the Bible. The word of God is quick (alive) and powerful according to Hebrews 4:12. It truly becomes that way when we will "flesh" it out by simply doing what it says.
The bible and God's words are not some magical incantation that we recite to get what we want but are powerful because God Himself has anointed them and we speak as sons and daughters because we have been given that authority. We have the authority as servant kings to build people up now lets go do it.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. That is what the book of Hebrews says. Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. There is substance and evidence to our faith. It is not blind in the least bit.
What we believe is vitally important to our way of life. What we digest on a regular basis will produce the person that we are. The old saying we all learn in school "you are what you eat" is more true than we would like to believe.
What we say will come from what we believe. It matters what we say, about ourselves, others, and/or our circumstances. Negative people will suck the very life out of you.
What we do will stem mostly from what we say which funnels down from what we believe. If we are a people of faith then we should act accordingly. If God says something, then just as the men and women of ancient days acted on that word, we should do the same but actually with more faith than they.
As we do these thing we start becoming the people of faith that God has destined for us to be.

Love, in the English language has multiple meanings and usage. I love my cat, I love my truck, or I love my wife. All the same word but obviously different meanings. Because we have this major discrepancy in our language we have a problem understanding what true love is. In the Greek language, which is where a lot of our English words are either derived from or taken from, it has many words for one word in English. Love is one of them.
To say, “I love something” in English doesn’t care the weigh it does in the Greek language, which the New Testament part of the Bible was written in. So therefore our understanding of God’s love is not where it should be if we apply the same principles of the word the English word “love” to God.
Lifegroup Pastor Jacob Hickman does an exceptional job of differentiating between the two and descriptively shows us the “Stupid, Crazy, Love of God” and how that love can change everything about who we are!

If you are going to be a true follower of Jesus Christ you must be a servant. But you can't just choose to be a servant. Why? Because serving other must come from a heart of love and the only way you can have that is through a relationship with God, the author of love.
Though we are kings and queens in His kingdom we serve from a position of authority. We are the ones who seek to serve and not be served. Just like Jesus did and does. Our authority and our freedom is not an opportunity for us to use for our own selfish purposes but to use it as a platform to serve others. When we do, it not only fulfill us but brings glory and honor to our father God.
When we serve as Jesus served and serves it unlocks the supernatural. It is in our serving other that unlocks miracles and outpourings of the Holy Spirit that changes our world. That is why we are Servant Kings.

Being a servant should be synonymous with Christianity. However, in the United States we as follower of Jesus Christ must fight through the cultural ideologies that promote selfishness as a virtue and humility as a vice. Unfortunately, the church in America has bought into this way of thinking. No, not deliberately but unconsciously. Why? because it has become so embedded in our culture and our culture has been influential on the way the church thinks when it actually should be the other way around.
Serving others from a position of authority is a humbling and freeing all at the same time. Why? Because when you serve from a heart of love that God has given you it’s not a sacrifice but a joy to serve. We serve others as sons and daughter of God. We have the power, authority and compulsion to do so. In other words we can help but serve others. We are walking in the footsteps of the first and true servant king; Jesus Christ. When others see us the should be looking at Jesus because we are living just like He does.
